The University of South Carolina’s Russell House University Union is closed due to a water outage.

Russell House staff posted signs at entrances alerting students to the closure.

Russell House will reopen at 4 p.m., with the university bookstore and Gamecock General reopening at that time. Dining services will reopen at 5 p.m., while the post office will remain closed for the day.

University spokesperson Collyn Taylor provided a statement about the closure.

“USC is working as quickly as possible to resolve the issue and will provide any pertinent information when available,” Taylor stated.

The Russell House is home to campus dining services for students, spaces for student organizations and the university bookstore.

Students are advised to check the Russell House University Union Instagram page for updates.
