Lattimore impresses at SC Pro Day

Marcus Lattimore won’t watch the NFL Draft in one month. The former South Carolina tailback said it doesn’t matter to him where he’s drafted. He said he hasn’t even looked at draft projections. South Carolina’s Pro Timing Day on Wednesday was the first time Lattimore stepped onto the Williams-Brice Stadium field since tearing three ligaments in his knee on Oct. 27.


Young players learning from Clowney

During the offseason, junior defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has become a YouTube sensation and graced a magazine cover, but with spring practice underway, the most prevalent topic lately has been Clowney’s Heisman chances for the 2013 season.

Women lose in NCAA 2nd round

Prior to South Carolina’s matchup against 12th-seeded Kansas in the NCAA Tournament, sophomore forward Aleighsa Welch told reporters USC would have to find a way to disrupt the Jayhawks’ efficient, high-scoring offense. But the Gamecock defense could not slow down Kansas, falling 75-69 in the round of 32 in Boulder, Colo.


Rutqvist competes at national meet

South Carolina’s women’s swim team officially concluded its season as junior Amanda Rutqvist completed her performance at the NCAA Championship in Indianapolis.
