Gamecocks selected to host NCAA regionals

The Gamecocks will play at home for yet another bid to travel to Omaha for the 2013 College World Series. The team, which finished second to Arizona for last year’s national championship, will face off against Saint Louis, which has been seeded fourth of the four teams which will play at Carolina Stadium.

Gamecocks travel to Penn Relays

Senior Jarrod Hutchen finished third in the men’s long jump in Athens, posting a mark of 24-04.50 (7.43m). It was a solid performance, but Hutchen wasn’t completely satisfied.

Tennis falls 4-3 to Ole Miss

The USC women’s tennis team got out to a strong start in its first match of the SEC tournament, winning the doubles point to take an early lead. But eighth-seed South Carolina couldn’t keep the advantage, falling 4-3 to 39th-ranked Ole Miss in the second round.


USC finishes 2nd at SEC Championship

The South Carolina men’s golf team finished second to Alabama at the 2013 SEC Championship held this weekend in St. Simons Island, Ga. The team was two strokes away from winning the program’s first SEC title, and a school record was set for the lowest 54-hole SEC Championship score.


	Sophomore Thiago Pinheiro rallied to win his match’s second and third sets to help the Gamecocks advance to the second round of the SEC Tournament.

Men’s tennis falls to Florida

Ranked 17th in the nation, the South Carolina men’s tennis team’s expectations entering last weekend’s SEC tournament were as high as they have ever been, according to coach Josh Goffi.
