Review: 'Resident Evil Requiem' is scary good balance of survival horror, action

"Resident Evil Requiem" stands as one of the franchise’s strongest modern entries, seamlessly blending suffocating survival horror with explosive action. Through the parallel journeys of Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy, the game delivers tense atmosphere, compelling character growth and standout creature design, proving the series still knows how to balance fear and firepower.

Review: 'Hollow Knight: Silksong' threads acrobatic combat, agony into a dazzling tapestry

After over eight years of anticipation, "Hollow Knight: Silksong" delivers a bold, uncompromising sequel that sharpens everything fans loved about the original. Team Cherry’s latest masterpiece pairs punishingly precise combat with breathtakingly vibrant environments, weaving a rich narrative through Hornet’s journey in Pharloom. Its relentless difficulty may test even seasoned players, but the game’s fluid mechanics, expansive world and compelling character writing make the long wait worthwhile.

Blockbusters, breakouts: Reviewing summer’s biggest films

The summer 2025 movie season delivered a wide spectrum of blockbusters, from superhero reboots and animated experiments, to franchise finales and unexpected originals. Others, including James Gunn’s "Superman," Zach Cregger’s "Weapons" and the animated "K-Pop Demon Hunters," showcased the creative spark that defined the strongest offerings. Together, these films reflected both the limits of Hollywood’s reliance on familiar properties and the audience’s growing appetite for bold new directions.
