Letter to the editor: Opposition to Rev. Wright highlights hypocrisy of LGBT community and other minority groups seeking equality

For a group of people that constantly demands tolerance of its lifestyle, the LGBT community has left a resounding stain on its message of equality and tolerance with its outcries against Rev. Wright’s expected reception of an honorary degree at graduation. Before you write me off as a gay-hating, homophobic, Southern homer who wants to pass legislation to forever ban gay marriage and repress the LGBT community, consider the actions you promote in suggesting that Rev. Wright is not deserving of having this honor bestowed upon him by this university — the same intolerance and lack of equality you claim is present in society.
