Collins and Williams have been huge for Arkansas. When the Razorbacks can get the running game going, they play well. When the Hogs struggle to run the ball, they have trouble keeping the offense on the field.

Leach earns recognition

Coming off one of the most historic weekends in program history and riding a four-game win streak, the South Carolina women’s soccer team continues to be a model of consistency. The Gamecocks (11-1-1, 4-1-0 SEC) are flying high heading into Friday’s showdown with Alabama (5-7-0, 3-2-0 SEC), but the team continues to take the same modest approach they have used all season. The players and the coaching staff rally around two words, win anyway.


Senior breaks record

Going into this past weekend, South Carolina equestrian had outscored its opponents 32-7 over the first two meets. Coach Boo Major was expecting closer scores as they headed to Delaware to take on Delaware State and SMU, but the coach’s caution was unnecessary.


	Senior Juliette Thévenin has drawn comparisons to one of the the Georgia Bulldogs’ top players, outside hitter Brittany Northcutt, because of their similar dimensions along with the fact that the two play the same position.

Georgia, Kentucky travel to Columbia

After the South Carolina volleyball team knocked off Texas A&M, coach Scott Swanson gathered his girls in the team room. He told them how proud he was that they kept their composure and confidence, especially after dropping a five-game thriller to Arkansas two days prior.


Men's soccer looks to rebound from overtime loss

South Carolina hosts Conference USA foe Kentucky On Sunday the South Carolina men’s soccer team will face off in a Conference USA matchup at Kentucky. The Gamecocks, coming off a disappointing overtime loss to Tulsa in Columbia Sunday afternoon, are looking to bounce back and get a much needed conference road win.


South Carolina prepares to open season against C of C

After a busy offseason, the swim and dive team is ready to hit the pool this weekend in its first meet of the year against College of Charleston. The team has been preparing all summer to get ready to battle the Cougars this weekend, coach McGee Moody said.

Defense still struggles

Watching Saturday’s game between South Carolina and Kentucky was like déjà vu. For the past three weeks, the Gamecocks have built up a comfortable lead, only to let defensive and special team miscues let the other team back into the game.


	Sophomore Darian Dozier said her second season has been more productive because she is used to her position.

Dozier draws from experience in 2nd season

As a freshman last season, Darian Dozier was seemingly lost in a sea of other great players such as Bethanie Thomas, Cara Howley and Juliette Thévenin. This season, she’s making her presence known and has been one of the top contributors for the Gamecocks, recording 76 blocks and 128 kills on her young season. Those stats put her 1st and 2nd respectively on the team and almost eclipse the numbers she put up all of last season.


Repeat performance for South Carolina defense

In South Carolina’s last three contests, the Gamecocks have not left fans wanting for drama. In Saturday’s 35-28 win over Kentucky, coach Steve Spurrier’s team allowed its third straight fourth-quarter battle after building a lead of at least 18 points.


Shaw, Davis shine in victory

While the late-game defensive woes continued, the South Carolina offense shined in both the running and passing game against Kentucky.


Cooper's time 'is coming'

A defensive back turned wide receiver, freshman Pharoh Cooper may find himself playing more of a role for South Carolina beginning next week at Arkansas.


Offense relying on Davis

Only three days after he announced quarterback Connor Shaw would be out for two to three weeks, coach Steve Spurrier said that Shaw would be starting in this week’s game against Kentucky.
