From now until Dec. 10, the Sewn Through Time collection will be shown at the McKissick Museum, displaying the deep history of the sweetgrass basket weaving tradition of the Gullah Geechee culture in South Carolina along with modern interpretations of the artform.
On Oct. 26, the Association of African American Students will host the Mister and Miss Black USC pageant to highlight Black students and raise money for charity. The event is set to bring together AAAS members, alumni and current students to celebrate the Black student community during homecoming week.
