A small fire broke out in the USC Coliseum on Thursday morning, according to a university spokesperson. Park and Devine Streets were temporarily closed to allow officials to attend to the incident.
The fire was caused by a construction worker cutting through a wire thought to be off and was extinguished by the water sprinkler system in the building, according to The State.
There were no injuries related to the incident, but a dryer was damaged by the small fire and the building suffered minor water damage from sprinklers.
