SIMPLY PRICELESS: Gritty relief performance by Matt Price leads Gamecocks back to CWS finals

The kid threw. And threw. And threw.

And now, South Carolina is back in the College World Series finals, two wins away from repeating as national champions. 

Behind 5.2 innings of relief from All-American closer Matt Price, USC won an instant classic that will be remembered by Gamecock fans for generations, outlasting Virginia in 13 innings 3-2 on Saturday night.

The winning run was scored by Adam Matthews, who advanced home on an errant throw to third after a bunt attempt. 

USC will now face Florida in an All-SEC national championship series. Game 1 is Monday at 8 p.m. EST.
