Homemade mac and cheese, a Kramer family favorite:

This easy mac and cheese recipe is a game-changer for hungry college students. With only four simple ingredients, the hardest part of this recipe is making sure you don't eat the cheese beforehand. Serving three to four people, this mac and cheese is a quick and easy recipe to serve all of your friends after a long night of studying. You can double the recipe as needed to have leftovers all week.

Ingredients:

2 cups elbow macaroni

2 cups Half-and-Half

2 cups chicken broth (can or box)

2 1/4 cups grated cheddar cheese

Bread crumbs (optional, amount based on your taste preference)

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Boil the noodles in the chicken broth, and add water if the broth boils off too much. When the pasta is cooked, slowly add 2 cups of cheese and Half-and-Half. Stir slowly, making sure the ingredients mix together evenly and the cheese melts.

When it's all mixed together, scoop it into a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle an extra 1/4 cup of cheese on top with a fine, even layer of bread crumbs.

Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve hot. It can also be made ahead and then popped in the oven when ready.
