Offensive struggles continue as South Carolina baseball avoids sweep against No. 15 Clemson

South Carolina dropped its third straight Palmetto Series matchup against No.15 Clemson over the weekend. The offense continued to struggle, with the Gamecocks only earning 12 hits in the three games. South Carolina avoided the sweep with a dominant pitching performance on Friday, but it could not manage to earn the first series win against Clemson under head coach Paul Mainieri.


Expectations are high for South Carolina’s baseball, softball teams in 2026

The South Carolina baseball and softball teams are entering their respective seasons with high expectations. After coming off one of the worst seasons in program history, the baseball team will strive to turn things around, while the softball team looks to maintain success after its trip to the NCAA Super Regional in 2025. With both coaches entering their second seasons at the helm, this year will showcase what the future may hold for these programs.

South Carolina offensive production raises questions in first series of 2026

South Carolina baseball earned its first series win of 2026, defeating Northern Kentucky 2-1 on Friday and Saturday. Despite the series win, major concerns surrounding the Gamecock offense arose after multiple failed attempts to hit with runners in scoring position. The South Carolina pitching staff provided a much-needed bright spot for the program over the series.
