The WNBA has agreed to a new collective bargaining agreement with its players, and the league's best are reaping the rewards. A variety of former Gamecocks have received record-setting paydays, with the league's two highest-paid players both coming from South Carolina.

South Carolina women's basketball fell short in the national championship game once again, but the Gamecocks' season was far from a disappointment. After losing four of its five starters from the previous season, South Carolina posted a 36-4 overall record and earned its fifth consecutive SEC regular-season title en route to its third consecutive championship game appearance.
