The ad hoc advisory committee on governance will create a new policy to replace the current bylaws regarding the presidential search.
A policy has not been created yet, but a draft will be presented to the committee within the next week.
In the policy, the committee will include more detail regarding the presidential search process.
As models for presidential search guidelines, governance consultant Cameron Howell said the State University of New York, the University of Colorado, the University System of Maryland and the University of Massachusetts can serve as examples.
The updates and changes to the bylaws will go before the board of trustees for approval on July 24.
