The official results of the 2024 Student Government elections were announced by the elections commissioner on Feb. 21. Patton Byars will become the next student body president, Coutney Tkacs the next student body vice president, Maura Hamilton the next speaker of the student senate and Jacob Vaught the next student body treasurer.
South Carolina's Nexus for Advanced Resilient Energy was recognized as an innovation hub in October, giving it an opportunity to recieve more funding from the federal government.
