College students need to be more aware of their daily habits when it comes to sustainability. By picking up visible trash, bringing reusable coffee cups to Starbucks and not participating in fast fashion, growing environmental issues can stay at bay.
The potential expansion of Russell House, proposed to begin in summer 2025, is something for students to look forward to. With a larger, more efficient student union, students would be better equipped to handle their work load while establishing a stronger sense of campus community.
College students must vote so they can advocate for their own needs and the needs of others. Many obstacles stand in the way of getting to the polls, but in the end, using your voice and standing for policies that you believe will set our future up for a better tomorrow.
Pathways to Healing held its 14th annual mile walk at the Statehouse on Saturday in support of sexual assault and abuse survivors Over 600 people attended, including USC students, Miss South Carolina and members of the Midlands community.
The College of Social Work at USC held a virtual panel that encouraged and informed its audience to remember the Black pioneers in the profession. In addition, they were determined to shed light on the hardships that people of color have faced all throughout history in social work.
U.S News & World Report ranked USC's online graduate nursing program as first in the nation. Leadership within the nursing program said the award will help to maintain interest in the program as nurse shortages continue and recognize faculty and students who have put hard work into the growth of the program.
