Women are often overlooked in the music industry. As everyday listeners, it's easy to mindlessly consume music without thinking about who helped the songs come to life. From writing and recording to producing, women deserve to be acknowledged. 

Female artists have more to offer than just the typical girl power anthem. Sure, songs empowering women are always great, and they send an important message. But female artists can be celebrated for all of their thoughts, feelings and ideas.
