COVID-19 dashboard update: USC's total active cases down to 64

USC is reporting a total of 64 active COVID-19 cases on campus, according to the university's online COVID-19 dashboard.

Of these cases, 60 are students and four are employees. This number marks a slight decrease from the 76 cases reported last Friday.

The university conducted a total of 2,993 COVID-19 tests between March 5 and March 8, with a positive rate of 0.46%. Of this total, 2,506 were student tests with a positive rate of 0.53%, and 487 were employee tests, with a positive rate of 0%.

There are 1,676 COVID-19 tests pending as of March 8.

Students and faculty can find the testing schedules and locations for this week on the university’s COVID-19 website. Testing will be done at the Carolina Coliseum and the third floor of Russell House for students, and at 1311 Pendleton St. for faculty and staff only. Testing is also available at the Student Health Center, by appointment only.

The university is in its seventh week of mandatory testing. This is Group 3's required testing week. Students can find which mandatory testing group they are in here.

There have been a total of 1,378 active COVID-19 cases on campus since Jan.1. Students account for 1,205 of these cases, while employees account for 173. 

Of the 600 quarantine and isolation spaces on campus, 3.06% are being used. 

The alert level is at 0.09, which is the "New Normal" level. It was also at this level during the last update. The alert level is based on 11 factors, including campus testing, isolation capacity and campus case burden.
