Carolina Food Co. updates meal plans for new school year

This semester Carolina Meal Co. has implemented changes to both the mandatory freshman meal plan and upperclassmen meal plan options. They replaced The Garnet 14 Silver plan with the new Residential All-Access Plan, added four new meal plan options for upperclassman, and many smaller additional changes.


COVID-19 on campus: USC reports 168 active cases

There are a total of 168 active COVID-19 cases on campus, according to the university's online COVID-19 dashboard for the fall semester. This marks an increase in cases compared to the 121 total active COVID-19 cases reported last Tuesday. 


USC Student Government has application fees, no campaign spending limits unlike other SEC schools

“It was just very interesting to see that places were kind of taken aback when I mentioned that we had a filing fee,” Student Body Treasurer Kate Turner said. She recently attended the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Exchange, a conference attended by student government delegates from SEC schools. Unlike other schools in the conference, USC also doesn't implement spending limits for student campaigns.

Anti-mask mandate protest on Horseshoe met with counterprotest

USC's Turning Point USA chapter protested against the reinstated mask mandate on the Horseshoe Saturday morning. It was met by a counterprotest led by the Carolina Socialists. Two Student Government senators were present, protesting with the Turning Point USA chapter.
