Hurricane Florence in 2018 and Hurricane Dorian in 2019 both gave students time off to prevent travel-related issues. Some students studied while others partied, but overall students enjoyed the rest and celebrated time away from the classroom.
USC's Multicultural Greek council unites five multicultural organizations in an effort to strengthen bonds and relationships between culturally different groups. In order to inspire more students to join, some chapters stroll and one marches in an annual showcase dedicated to MGC.

This semester Carolina Meal Co. has implemented changes to both the mandatory freshman meal plan and upperclassmen meal plan options. They replaced The Garnet 14 Silver plan with the new Residential All-Access Plan, added four new meal plan options for upperclassman, and many smaller additional changes.
Grace Towery and Moya Shaw gained valuable hands-on experience shadowing and assisting Guatemalan dental professionals this summer through participation in the VAW Global Dental Interns project.
