Sunghee Kwon, the 46-year-old ex-wife of USC professor Raja Fayad, was identified as the shooter in Thursday's murder-suicide by Richland County Coroner Gary Watts.
Watts said Kwon shot Fayad in the upper body several times before shooting herself in the abdomen and killing herself. Both Kwon and Fayad died at the scene.
Kwon and Fayad had been married until a few years ago and continued to have a relationship and share a home after they divorced. Until recently, the couple was still living together.
