Lexington County Sheriffs searching for boat engine thieves

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department is searching for multiple suspects connected to a robbery at a marine dealership, WIS reports. The suspects are accused of stealing more than $250,000 in boat motors from Captain's Choice Marine on Highway 378 on Sunday morning. Surveillance footage from the business shows multiple suspects loading the motors into a white van at the time of the incident, and officials ask anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers.

Five Points shooting suspect taken into custody

WIS reports that one of three suspects in the Sunday shooting on Harden Street that left one man dead is in custody for questioning. The suspect is being questioned in relation to the death of Levi Michael Happy, who died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. CPD released pictures of three men and two vehicles on Monday night, and they are asking the public for assistance in identifying the men depicted. According to police reports, Happy was last seen in a bar during the Five Points St. Patrick's Day Festival.

Felon sentenced to 15 years for weapons charges

A man previously convicted of multiple criminal charges, including the stabbing death of a fellow inmate when previously in prison, was sentenced to 15 more years in custody for possession of a firearm and ammunition, The State reports. Wade Andrew Albright pleaded guilty to the charges in November, and he was sentenced by a District Court judge. Albright was arrested while in possession of a revolver and rounds of ammunition as well as pills, cocaine and marijuana. Police also determined that the weapon and ammunition were stolen.
