Clemson releases women's golf coach

Clemson fired its women's golf coach Friday, The State reports. The dismissal came just days after it was revealed JT Horton was under investigation by the school for inappropriate behaviors towards players. Horton was the school's first and only women's golf coach, leading the program since it began in 2011.

UNC running back transfers to USC

UNC running back Ty'Son Williams will transfer to USC pending admittance to the university, WIS reports. Williams, a graduate of Crestwood High School, will have to sit out the 2016 season and walk on his first season. After that, he will be eligible for scholarship during his final two years of eligibility. He played five games for the Tar Heels last year.

Man dies after falling off Myrtle Beach ride

A North Carolina man died after he fell from a banana boat in North Myrtle Beach, WLTX reports. Lifeguards performed CPR on Danny Winters, 56 of Winston-Salem, but he died at a local hospital. Authorities are still working to determine a cause of death.
