Tajh Boyd arrested in Greenville

Former Clemson standout Tajh Boyd is facing assault charges, WIS reports. Boyd, who was the Tiger's starting quarterback for three years, turned himself in to Greenville Police on Tuesday after a doorman came forward about an incident in July. The employee of a Greenville bar accused Boyd of assaulting him and a female patron after being forced to wait in line to enter the establishment. Boyd was released on bond shortly after the arrest.

Car fire closes portion of I-20

Portions of I-20 were closed Tuesday after a car fire blocked multiple lanes, The State reports. All of the lanes were reopened relatively quickly by SCDOT on the eastbound side near Pontiac. The wreck was called in around 12:30 p.m. and caused traffic congestion around exit 82.

Teen shot at Carowinds

No arrests have been made so far in a shooting at Carowinds Amusement Park, The Charlotte Observer reports. A 14-year-old, whose name hasn't been released, was shot twice in the abdomen late Monday.  The incident happened in a parking lot at the park that straddles the South Carolina/North Carolina border. Police are still searching for a suspect, and no update has been given on the teen's condition.
