Columbia man pleads guilty of sex trafficking

A Columbia man pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, WIS reports. Da-Shun Curry, 23, entered the plea in federal court Tuesday. Curry confessed to prostituting the three minors in the North Charleston area. He hasn't been sentenced yet but could face up to life in prison.

School districts announce Matthew make-up days

Richland One students will have to make up days missed due to Hurricane Matthew, WIS reports. The district is taking away three days originally scheduled as student holidays or professional development days: Jan. 13, March 31 and April 17. Gov. Nikki Haley closed most schools throughout the state during the storm so that they could be used as shelters for evacuees. USC does not follow Richland One scheduling.

Burglary suspect found in fridge

A Lexington County man faces multiple criminal charges after he was found in a restaurant fridge, WLTX reports. Deputies responded to a tripped alarm at Zorba's Greek Restaurant, found the door pried open and found Michael Davis, 33, inside the fridge. He faces charges of grand larceny, second degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.
