Suspect identified in Main Street stabbing

The man arrested for allegedly stabbing two people near an off-campus student housing complex has been identified, WIS reports.

30-year-old Cornelious Williams was charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of second degree assault and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in connection with the incident which took place Tuesday night in the 1400 block of Main Street near The Hub.

Williams allegedly stabbed both a man who confronted him about inappropriately touching a woman and a security guard who tried to intervene. The two victims were treated at a local hospital.
