College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management moves to Close-Hipp building

USC's College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management (HRSM) is moving to the Close-Hipp building for the fall 2019 semester in order to accomodate increased student enrollment.

The move to Close-Hipp will place HRSM on the opposite side of campus from its current location in the Carolina Coliseum. With the Coliseum being renovated for the new student union and the HRSM program growing, the university began renovations at Close-Hipp to make it the future home of HRSM programs.

According to HRSM's website, Close-Hipp will be the "largest classroom building on campus" and feature the Belk Auditorium with 400 seats.

Close-Hipp will continue to house other university services such as advising, the Study Abroad Office, the Office of Continuing Education and Conferences and Global Learning while also being the central location for HRSM.

The move is scheduled to begin in July 2019 with everything fully transitioned by the beginning of the fall semester.
