USCPD and Columbia Fire Department arrived at Blossom Street garage before noon after a vehicle parked in the garage began smoking.
By 11:48 a.m. the firetrucks had left the garage, but four USCPD officers remained.
"The car was smoking up there, but everything is fine now," a USCPD officer said.
Traffic has not stopped on Blossom Street and cars are permitted to enter and leave the garage. There is no risk to students.
