In Columbia, typically the chilly weather doesn’t last long into the spring, and soon warm weather will be calling for days spent in the sun. Columbia offers many outdoor activities within a short driving distance to escape the busyness of downtown and campus life for a few hours.

The Tapp's building originally opened in 1940 as a department store, which closed down in 1995. The building was then transitioned into an art center in 2011, still under the name of Tapp's, but has once again closed its doors due to a lack of funding.

With the Nintendo Switch housing the home console and handheld experience in one gaming system, a brand-new Pokémon release was inevitable. Since the release of "Pokémon Red and Blue" in 1998, the anticipation for a full-fledged "Pokémon" adventure on a home console had swelled to an insurmountable level, and the announcement of "Pokémon Sword and Shield" managed to excite both new and old players.

The lights came back on after the Frights opening act, and stage hands rolled out an elevated surface platform as the room filled with fans. As they removed covers and strung wires across the stage, the DJ stage transformed into a platform including a keyboard and modified drums setup. The back of the keyboard spelled out in bold, white letters “MATT AND KIM.”
