Student Government may run out of funds for the 2nd year in a row. Here's how the senate is hoping to change

Student Government is again in a situation where it could run out of funds for student organizations. But a proposal in the student senate could look at changing the guidelines for how funds are allowcated. Student Body President Emmy Thompson and Treasurer Hannah Augsbach-Lamma said they also want to look at trying to increase a larger campus activity fee, creating a larger pool of money for funding.

The University of South Carolina's board of trustees approved plans in December for a $300 million medical school, which will look to collaborate more between education and research. The new building, located in the BullStreet district, is the first step in what the university hopes is the development of a larger health science campus.
