Haley's meeting with Trump goes well

S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley met with President-Elect Donald Trump in New York on Thursday, the day after being named vice chair of the Republican Governors Association, The State reports. According to Haley's deputy chief of staff, the meeting went well.  Reports have been circulating that she is being considered for a position in the Trump administration.   

Man arrested for bomb threat to White House, Charleston

A Horry County man was arrested after calling in bomb threats for the White House and an area in Charleston, The State reports. North Myrtle Beach officers say Justin McCoy, 25, called the city's public safety office to report to the FBI that there was a bomb planted. According to reports there no bombs have been found at or near the White House. 

Death of local doctor leads to investigation

The investigation into the sudden death of a Lexington County doctor continues, WIS reports.  According to the Lexington County Coroner's office, foul play is not suspected and the autopsy is scheduled for Thursday. Dr. Wayne Black, 68, was found dead Wednesday in the woods near his home.
