Fourth-year hospitality management student Emily Flemming and her husband, Ryan Flemming, finally said “I do” on Sunday evening after four years of marriage. The winning couple of the HRTM 362 Love Story Wedding Giveaway contest formally restated their vows in a ceremony at the Inn at USC. The entire ceremony — from the dress to the honeymoon — was planned by Emily’s fellow students in the HRTM 362 class and paid for by the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management. After their legal union in 2008, unemployment, rent checks and veterinary bills kept them from their dream wedding. Ryan was working with US foods and Emily was working as a hostess and taking classes when their luck turned and they were chosen by Emily’s peers for the class’s semester project.
