A shooting on Wildwood Avenue that left one injured is being investigated by Columbia police. In Irmo, a tree fell on a house, injuring a 17-year-old boy. Another 17-year-old boy has been charged with six counts of attempted murder, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, after he was involved in a pool party shooting.

A woman was arrested by Columbia police after she was captured via surveillance camera stealing mail from multiple mailboxes at 1100 Wheat Street. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges lifted South Carolina State University's probation and issued full accreditation through 2020. A Richland County heating and air conditioning employee is accused of charging almost $30,000 to a company credit card.

In Brief: 6/15/16

On Monday, a 3-year-old was hit and killed by a vehicle believed to be driven by his uncle. A truck crashed and overturned on Blossom Street outside of USC's Greek Village on Tuesday morning. Shots were fired at Walmart on Garners Ferry Road Tuesday afternoon, resulting in one victim who was taken to a local hospital. Police are investigating the incident.


Irmo apartments ignited, two rescued

An apartment complex in Irmo, South Carolina, was damaged by a fire Tuesday morning. Two were trapped in an apartment but were rescued by a passerby.
