A USC student was riding a scooter at the intersection of South Main Street and Greene Street when they were hit by a truck on Monday.
The student was taken by ambulance to a local hospital today with non-life-threatening injuries, according to university spokesperson Collyn Taylor.
"We do not have a report as of that time (on) the condition of the student," Rick Evans, associate for parking and transportation services said. "The student was conscious, and the student was apparently talking and doing okay."
Taylor was unable to confirm if the driver was also a USC student.
Columbia Police Department is investigating the incident.
