The social media app is becoming increasingly popular among younger generations, gaining more downloads than Facebook as of 2019. The Chinese media company Bytedance merged the already-popular app Musical.ly with TikTok’s 500 million monthly users in 2017.

However, these are essential items belonging to what is known on social media as a "VSCO girl." The term, first appearing in 2017, has become an insult toward girls who follow the “conformist” trend.

Living with a roommate is something every person should experience in their lifetime. Opportunities such as these — which test your boundaries, resourcefulness and patience — are unique to the college experience. I cannot think of any other situation in which placing two scared, stressed strangers in a shoebox-sized room and forcing them to coexist for eight months would be justified.

Halloween is the perfect time to gather with some friends to watch a scary movie. As someone who enjoys a good thriller, I have noticed many directors of horror movies rely heavily on graphic violence to improve scariness.
