The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report for USC’s Columbia campus was recently released, showing an overall increase in on-campus crimes. Crimes such as burglary, rape, and aggravated assault have seen an increase in 2022.
An armed robbery took place at a Shell on Assembly Street early Friday morning. The suspect reportedly stole money from gas station's convenience store, the Corner Pantry. Officials said the suspect is no longer on campus but has not been arrested.
