Student senate proposes streamlined advising process

The student senate believes better utilizing EAB Navigate for advising services will create a better advising process. Student Body President Issy Rushton is continuing to work towards an in-person commencement ceremony, though her term will end in the middle of the semester.

USC maintains COVID-19 supplies, safety initiatives

USC has been working to improve campus safety since March. They have implemented a number of COVID-19 safety initiatives across campus, which has led to an increased demand for cleaning supplies and other COVID-19 personal protective equipment. 


USC students, Five Points patrons report being drugged

The Daily Gamecock obtained three Columbia Police Department incident reports dated between October and November 2020 detailing incidents of students being unknowingly drugged in Five Points bars. The scope of these incidents is unknown, as most victims don't report their stories to the police, according to Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott.
