The proposed Bull Street health science campus in Columbia hopes to improve research for USC and provide improved medical care to the state. The campus will have two buildings, one primarily for research and the other mainly for education, likely connected by an atrium.
This June, the Supreme Court will decide whether or not to eliminate affirmative action. If affirmative action is overturned, the college admissions process could be impacted, but USC faculty do not expect significant changes.
U.S News & World Report ranked USC's online graduate nursing program as first in the nation. Leadership within the nursing program said the award will help to maintain interest in the program as nurse shortages continue and recognize faculty and students who have put hard work into the growth of the program.
A student has been hospitalized after incident at Science and Technology Building on Devine Street. According to university spokesperson Jeff Stensland, there is no threat to public safety.

USC revealed 18 new bricks at the Horseshoe on Friday in recognition of Black women at USC. This legacy includes "The Backbone," a student film that explores explores the history of Black women at USC from the university’s desegregation in 1963 to the modern day.
Candidates were announced for Student Government positions after a candidates' meeting on Feb. 9. Due to a challenge by student senator Ian Herd, the campaign spending caps previously passed by the senate will not be in effect as originally intended.
